OraVerse** is now available for our patients
After a dental procedure, OraVerse® reverses the annoying, unwanted, and unnecessary effects of lingering numbness twice as fast so you can get over it and get on with your day. OraVerse is the first and only product to rapidly reverse the effects of your local dental anesthetic so you can feel normal sooner. It is clinically proven to accelerate the return of normal sensation and function following routine dental procedures. Studies show that people who were given OraVerse not only feel normal twice as fast, but they can smile, speak, and drink sooner, and drooling is minimized!
Porcelain Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are tooth-shaped coverings that are made of metal, ceramic, or porcelain. Dental crowns are placed over teeth that have been damaged due to injury or disease. Porcelain dental crowns are a highly effective and popular treatment option because they are more durable than all-ceramic crowns and they are more natural looking than crowns made only with metal. Porcelain crowns are not necessarily the best choice for all patients. Some patients may find that metal crowns are more appropriate to their needs. Our dentists will help you decide which type of crown is best for you during your initial consultation.
Dental crowns can be placed in just two office visits. During the first visit, impressions are taken of the teeth, and the damaged tooth is filed down in order to accommodate the new crown. Temporary crowns are placed to offer protection and support while permanent porcelain, ceramic, or metal crowns are being created. In the second office visit, the temporary crowns are removed and permanent crowns are securely bonded to the injured or decayed teeth.
On average, dental crowns can improve the appearance and function of damaged teeth for upwards of ten to fifteen years. To learn how this treatment can help transform the health of your teeth and the appearance of your smile, we invite you to discuss dental crowns with Dr. Sotnikov or Dr. Galperin at our Alpharetta or Roswell offices. Contact Northbridge Dental today to schedule a consultation.
White Composite Dental Fillings
White composite dental fillings offer considerable aesthetic advantages over traditional metal fillings. Because composite dental fillings are chosen to match the color of the patient's surrounding teeth, they are natural looking and virtually undetectable. In addition, unlike traditional metal fillings, white composite dental fillings do not contain mercury. Although the harmful effects of mercury in metal fillings are still being debated, our dentists choose not to take any chances with our patients' health. We offer white composite dental fillings exclusively so that patients do not have to worry about potential mercury poisoning. We are committed to our patients' safety and comfort in all of our general and cosmetic dentistry procedures.
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are placed to eliminate discomfort and to fill gaps left by missing teeth. A dental bridge is a device comprised of an artificial tooth or teeth that are supported by crowns on either side. By attaching these crowns to the natural teeth adjacent to a gap, the artificial tooth or teeth are held securely in place, restoring the smile to its original beauty. The type of dental bridge chosen depends on the number and location of missing teeth. Our dentists are highly skilled in placing dental bridges so that they look entirely natural and provide stability and functionality for years to come.
Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays are excellent solutions for patients with mild to moderate tooth decay, smaller cracks and fractures, and other conditions that do not require more advanced treatment with dental crowns. Inlays are placed within the cusps of a damaged tooth while onlays cover the entire top surface area of a damaged tooth. In addition to restoring strength and functionality, inlays and onlays can help prevent future tooth decay from occurring.
Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)
Endodontics refers to treatment of the internal tissues contained within the root canal of the tooth. If a cavity is found deep within the center of the tooth, root canal therapy is often necessary to remove the infection and prevent further decay. Root canal treatment eliminates painful toothaches that are caused when the internal tissues of the teeth become infected; in addition, the procedure allows for the preservation of as much of the natural tooth structure as possible. Sedation dentistry techniques can help ensure that patients feel no discomfort or pain during the root canal procedure.
Periodontal Surgery and Gum Disease Treatment
Our dentists and hygienists perform thorough dental cleanings and instruct patients in how to properly care for their teeth and gums at home in order to help prevent gum disease. Through careful monitoring of the gums, we are able to identify and treat periodontal disease in its earliest stages. In the event that advanced treatment is required, we perform laser gum surgery to safely and effectively address the condition.
Dentures / Denture Repair
For hundreds of years, dentures have provided an effective treatment solution for patients with missing teeth. Now with advances in modern technology, dentures are made of materials that are more comfortable and natural looking than ever before. We can provide you with either a partial or full set of dentures that will fit snugly, yet comfortably, in your mouth so that you can eat, speak, and smile without having to worry about slippage. For those who are dissatisfied with the feel, look, or performance of their current dentures, we also offer denture repair.
Cleanings / Exams / Oral Cancer Screenings
Regular professional dental cleanings and exams are vital to maintaining good oral health. Our doctors and hygienists are committed to providing gentle, comprehensive care to help keep your teeth functioning properly and looking great. We also perform oral cancer screenings in order to detect this disease in its earliest stages.
Tooth Extraction
In the event that tooth extraction is necessary, we perform treatment gently and use the latest advances in sedation dentistry technology. We also perform wisdom teeth removal, a procedure often necessary for teenagers in order to prevent wisdom teeth from coming in and disrupting the alignment of their teeth.
TMJ Treatment
Headaches, toothaches, difficulties with chewing, and other painful symptoms often occur when the temporomandibular (TMJ) joints near each ear are not functioning properly. Our dentists offer TMJ treatment including mouth guards, jaw exercises, and bite therapy to alleviate the pain associated with this condition.
Bad Breath Treatment
Bad breath is often caused by the build-up of bacteria in the mouth. If you are bothered by bad breath, we will determine the cause of the problem and offer effective treatment to eliminate unpleasant mouth odors.
Sleep Apnea / Snoring
Sleep apnea is a potentially dangerous condition in which breathing is disrupted during sleep. Individuals with sleep apnea often feel tired the next day because the condition causes them to wake periodically throughout the night. In addition, sleep apnea can cause disruptive snoring that not only wakes up the individual but could disturb others as well. We offer treatment that addresses the causes of sleep apnea so that patients are able to sleep safely and soundly.
Dental Emergencies
In the event of a dental emergency, we are available to treat you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Common dental emergencies include cracked, loosened, or knocked-out teeth. If you have suffered an injury or are experiencing severe toothaches, contact our emergency hotline any time day or night, and we will help alleviate the pain and provide immediate dental treatment.
Children's Dentistry
We are proud to provide comprehensive dental care to children, including general dentistry and orthodontic treatment. We believe that by providing compassionate and gentle care, we can help instill in children healthy, life-long dental habits, including going to the dentist's office regularly for professional cleanings and exams and maintaining proper oral hygiene at home.
Fluoride and Sealants
Fluoride treatments and dental sealants are two effective methods of preventing tooth decay. Fluoride treatments are administered after dental cleanings in the form of a gel or foam that is temporarily applied to teeth. Dental sealants are bonded to the chewing surfaces of teeth for long-term protection against bacteria and decay.
